What We Do

Therapy for Language and Communication, LLC provides comprehensive speech and language assessments and intervention to individuals.  At TLC, we value family involvement; therefore  communication with caregivers is essential in achieving the acquisition of targeted skills.  TLC’s therapists develop individualized goals and objectives for each patient, which are assessed and modified as needed throughout the course of therapy.  Therapy techniques that may be used in therapy sessions include:

Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets (PROMPT)- a tactile-kinesthetic method to facilitate speech production.

Social Thinking- a curriculum to address social communication deficits.

TouchChatHD- an augmentative and alternative communication application designed for use on the iPad/iPod.

In addition to evaluations and individual treatment sessions, Therapy for Language and Communication, LLC offers a variety of additional services including Pre-School screenings, consultations (e.g. Planning and Placement Team meetings), and group therapy (e.g social skills, augmentative and alternative communication.)
